In the eastern regions of China there is a Muslim minority and influence from throusands of years of trading along the silk road.
The mosque was beautiful. I enjoyed the grounds and gardens.
It was a peaceful and quiet place.
Our local guide Peter was very knowledgeable and enjoyable.I was surprized there weren't more accidents since you have to be fearless to even get out into the road. Polite drivers will never get anywhere.
The Big Wild Goose Pagoda was lovely and the grounds were very interesting. Here, I'm peering out the handle. Don poses with a lion. Roof detail. I loved the downspouts. This was the largest at the corner, but there was a whole line of them.
I wanted it to rain hard so I could see them spouting.Renata and Pat had just contemplated the sign. Sometimes the "Chinglish" was hard to interprete.I don't think our deck would be strong enough to hold these, but they were cute.
Renate enjoys the buildings.
